SoundTrek is the brainchild of Yvonne Jones, a writer, former audio producer, and an eclectic lover of (city) life who finally ended her off-and-on relationship with New York City in August of 2001 to return to her hometown of Philadelphia. She's clearly so happy with the move that she can't help sharing it -- and some of her other favorite cities -- with the world via SoundTrek. Her publishing company is dedicated to producing the extensive, multi-part series of audio walking tours of colorful neighborhoods in multiple U.S. cities.

Having toiled as a writer, editor, audio and Web producer, manager, and can-do doyenne for people and companies as diverse as David Byrne, Michael Moore, Philadelphia Magazine, Metropolitan Bakery, National Public Radio and the TLA Entertainment Group, Jones has long since been ready to put her money where her professional heart is. She has also been an editor and producer for online companies such as Oxygen Media, About.com, and Time Warner Inc., the media behemoth formerly known as AOL Time Warner.

You can find Jones all over Philadelphia at places like Mugshots Coffeehouse (full disclosure: she's a board memeber), Movie Night at the Balcony, Sabrina's Cafe, Tank Bar, Williams-Sonoma, the Independence Branch Library, and Fairmount Park's Valley Green marveling at how full life is "when you're not sitting in a shadowy gray cubicle listening to your butt get a little bit bigger every day." Her sassy good nature, intelligence, and roving curiosity make her the perfect person to serve up the soundtracks of Philadelphia and other cities.
