What's A SoundTrek?
SoundTrek Audio Walking Tours are the soundtracks of the city, bringing the flavor of the city as close as your Walkman or IPod. Available on CD, MiniDisc or via MP3 download, each SoundTrek takes you by the ear and leads you on a one-of-a-kind, 60-minute tour of the senses through your chosen neighborhood to local hotpsots the Chamber of Commerce barely knows exist.
Sample the sassy and savvy alternative to tours currently available in urban centers like Philadelphia, San Francisco, Chicago, and Boston when our first SoundTrek neighborhood series -- SoundTrek: Philadelphia -- debuts this summer.
The Streets of San Francisco. And Philadelphia. And Chicago. And San Juan. And....
Narrated by colorful local personalities and featuring interviews with neighborhood characters, an aural assist from local musicians & DJs, and the literal sounds of the city, these vibrant audio tours will be available in Spring 2006 via SoundTrekAudioWalkingTours.com. The series kicks off with the release of the SoundTrek: Philadelphia series, featuring the Gayborhood, South Philadelphia, Germantown, Northern Liberties/Fishtown/Kensington, and West Philadelphia neighborhoods.
In 2006, the SoundTrek audio walking tours will expand to three other U.S. cities, as well as San Juan, Puerto Rico, and debut a streamlined version of each tour that will be accessible by cellphone. Keep your ears open as SoundTrek quickly becomes the soundtrack of cities across the land....
